Day 79: Billings, MT

Stop 48 / State 29: Billings, MT

Not much to report today. Today's 130 mile trip took us across the Montana border. The "Welcome to Montana" picture was a big blur today so, no picture. Apologies to the many of you who I know are collecting them.

Our park today is on the bank of the Yellowstone River.

The view downstream:

The view upstream:

And, of course, the daily trailer picture.

Something that I've been meaning to mention. Our cellphone service is with Boost, which is owned by Sprint and uses the Sprint network. It's a low cost, no contract service and we expected to encounter quite a few dead spots. We haven't had a trace of a signal since we left Minnesota 5 days ago (somehow, we did receive 2 robocalls from a bill collector looking for someone that we've never heard of but, even then, there was no trace of a signal). I honestly believe that, when the phone finally realizes that we've changed time zones, it will be in Oregon and it'll be changing from Central to Pacific (it'll miss Mountain time altogether). Fortunately, if we have an emergency, we can make satellite calls through the truck's OnStar system.
